You can see through them if you hold them up, they are as thin as paper. The set has a single tag on one pillow case, which says "100% microfiber China", and that is all it says.

When you are shopping for sheets on Amazon, you have a sidebar on the left side with sorting criteria. If you select "cotton" as your criteria, you rightfully expect to find only cotton sheets.
