I bought this item because it is machine washable (I like to bleach my bedding) and animal cruelty-free, but I have to say that for the price I paid, I was very disappointed in the quality of the comforter. First of all, the picture up on Amazon does not look like the product. The picture is obviously a feather bed, or other heavier material. This comforter is very thin and light, without a finish around the edges, as displayed in the photo. After the first washing, the stuffing began to bulk up in certain spots as well and the threading became loose throughout. Over all the quality is what you might find in a cheap child's comforter. I was expecting "luxury" based on the item's description but was met with mediocrity at best. I gave it three stars only because it serves its purpose (although it doesn't even keep you very warm - I had to get a thick blanket to place underneath it), and saved me a trip to the store to go hunt for a white comforter without feathers in it. Save your money and go somewhere else.
