I bought this for my wife as a christmas gift but i think I use it more than she does. it warms up pretty quickly and it is very plush. You can feel the wires but no different than any other electric blanket. some you will get some hot spots but it depends on how you have the blanket laid out. I would get another one of these in a heat beat.
