Imported German Winter Goose Down Comforter (3001 M) Review

I received this comforter today right on time. In fact, it was really a day early according to the seller, so, big plus! I must say that, after a recent trip to Germany, the biggest thing that I missed when I got home was the down comforter in my hotel room. This comforter, or, Federbett, is EXACTLY the same. It's warm, it's fluffy right out of the box/bag and didn't have any offensive odors like some down comforters that have been sitting too long or not allowed any fresh air. In fact, it smelled like comfort...if that makes sense! There definitely is a down smell, but very light. It smelled of an upscale hotel!

I love this comforter already and I JUST received it. They back it up with a 25-year warranty for the down and a 5-year warranty for the stitching: excellent! Also, the stitching is sewn all the way through which is very important to prevent major shifting of the down. The only thing, and I mean the only thing, that I don't like about it was the fact that it does not come in "traditional" sizes for king, queen, full, etc. Honestly, though? I ordered the size that was most like a twin-sized for my full bed. It covers all of my matress surface perfectly and I did find a small twin duvet cover that fits (yeah!). So this "huge" problem is no longer a problem! :D I will order from this company again in a heart beat.

One warning: if you do not like "crinkly" sounding material, you will not like this. Fortunately for me, this is part of the charm because it means that the casing is cool like a sheet and can be used as such without the need for extra bedding. The duvet is just for my own peace of mind so that I protect my investment.
