It doesn't get that cold here but I had to use another blanket under this one to keep warm. Coldest it gets in the OC is roughly mid 40's. Otherwise, the luff is still about 60% since I bought this 4 months ago. I highly recommend you buy a duvet to protect it if it gets dirty so all you have to do is wash the duvet. Some of the feathers poke out but that's with any other comforters. Can't really feel/tell that it is 800 thread count and the 750 fill power should have kept me warmer. Otherwise, its a good price and I am happy with it overall.
